Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope on Thursday has assured the people that both the medicines, Remdesivir and Favipiravir which are proved to be effective in treating COVID-19 affected people will be available in all the districts in coming 2 days and we are ensuring that it will be available for all.
Maharashtra has the highest number of active Covid-19 cases, is facing a shortage of Remdesivir because the local authorities are yet to place orders for the medicines.
Plasma therapy is still a very effective way of treatment, 9 out of 10 patients are getting better through this treatment. He informed that a total of 93,000 patients have been recovered till now.
Most of the cases which are coming positive are of the people who are either under institutional quarantine, home quarantine, or with some contact history. So, there’s no community spread in the state as of now Maharashtra Health Minster Rajesh Tope said.
