The Department of Post is conducting a national-level Stamp Design (Photography) competition to commemorate Independence Day 2020. The theme of the competition is ‘UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India (Cultural)’.
It was was launched on July 7 on MyGov portal for inviting entries. The photographs can be used for designing commemorative postage stamp and other Philatelic items. Contestants of all age groups and from all parts of the country may participate in the competition by uploading the photograph clicked by him/her on the MyGov portal at https://www.mygov.in/task/de sign-stamp-themed-unescoworld-heritage-sites-india-cultural/. The winner of the competition will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000, the runner-up will get a cash prize of Rs 25,000 and the third place holder will be awarded with Rs 10,000. Five contestants will get a cash prize of Rs 5,000 each as consolation prize. Last date for submission of entries is July 27.
