The Nag-Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce has recently submitted a memorandum and urged the government to prevent the escalating prices of petrol and diesel.NVCC president Ashwin Mehadia stated that on one hand trade and business has suffered heavily following the COVID-19 pandemic.
On the other hand, the government instead of passing on the benefit of falling crude prices internationally is trying to fill up its own coffers. As unlock has started, sale of oil in the country has gone up,which has caused a slight hike in the prices of petrol and diesel.Under such conditions, the government must give relief to the citizens and traders by reducing prices of fuel.
