Time can change everything in your life. During the most difficult times, the smallest opportunity seems to be bigger for anyone who just wants to take care of their family. The economic burden can make anyone eager to do any work which falls in their hands even if they once had tasted all the fortunes in life.
The same happened with Deorao Tijare who is currently working as a security guard to earn a livelihood for his family during the pandemic period.
Tijare was a two-time corporator and former Chairperson of the Standing Committee of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC). Now at the age of 72, he is working as a security guard to earn a livelihood and provide means to his small family.
Tijare stands as an exceptional case in the murky world of politics where everyone works of money and fame in politics.
Tijare first became a corporator in 1985 from Shanti Nagar ward of the city. In 1991, he became the chairman of the standing committee of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) and trustee of the Nagpur Improvement Trust (NIT). He was elected corporator for the second time in 2002 from the same ward as an NCP candidate.
Tijare who is now working as a security guard from the past 4-5 years after being in politics for so long due to the financial constraints and to support his family.
