After the outbreak of COVID-19, to contain the wide spread of virus, the government has made it compulsory to wear the mask. Despite all these strict rules, some citizens are not following it.Due to the violation of this norm 470 people have been penalised in the city. As per information, around 3600 CCTV cameras have been installed at traffic signals and roads in city. Details of people driving without a mask between July 1 and July 20 were procured and challans were issued.
Besides, people riding with a pillion rider on a two wheeler and cars with more than three passengers were also penalised. It should be noted that not more than one person on a two wheeler and not more than 3 passengers in a car have been permitted under the relaxations in the lockdown.
