100 % trade bandh has cleared that the traders are not alone responsible for transmission of Covid 19 in Orange City as alleged by municipal commissioner Tukaram Mundhe, said NVCC president Ashwin Mehadia here.
Tukaram Mundhe had earlier said that citizens are crowding out various markets in the city due to resumption of trade activities and therefore the authorities may think of imposing strict lockdown ahead of festive season.
Meanwhile, NVCC president Ashwin Mehadia has urged traders to observe complete bandh on Sunday too. He thanked the traders for their cooperation on first day of the curfew with the local administration in its fight against Covid-19.
Mehadia further said that, If lockdown is re-enforced, traders and other segments of the society would suffer indescribable agony and financial crisis. Some traders are already facing economic challenges. Their financial condition too has deteriorated during the two and half months of lockdown. And so lockdown must not be imposed.
