After rumours circulated on social media about the lockdown during Eid-ul-Adha and Rakshabandhan,district collector Ravindra Thakare stated that misleading information is being posted on social media and creating confusion among citizens.
He clarified that there was no meeting conducted regarding this matter to take a decision on the lockdown. Collector remarked that some vested interests may be behind spreading the rumour to misled the public. He warned rumour-mongers of strict action if they continued to spread rumours on social media. He said that the origin of rumours about lockdown will be thoroughly investigated through the cyber cell and a strict action will take against those who found guilty.
