After the lockdown between the period from April 1 to July 28,2020 around 35,39,200 consumers paid a total of Rs. 1.545 thousand crores.As per information,this includes 13 lakh consumers who paid the power bills in June and July to the tune of Rs.708 crores.This include domestic,commercial and industrial users.
Around 75 % consumers in Vidarbha has paid electricity bill.Due to pandemic induced lockdown,MSEDCL had given a three month consolidated bill to consumers.After receiving bills the consumers alleged that they have got inflated bills.After this,the MSEDCL started consumer contact programme through seminars,webinars,tele calling and special help desk at offices.According to the MSEDCL,these initiatives have helped to clear the doubts of consumer to a large extent.
