Chhoo Le Aasman, an NGO which has been working on creating awareness about various topics of concern in the society through different programs.
Chhoo Le Aasman has actively spread awareness about problems faced by the people during the lockdown.
Recently the NGO organised a webinar on the topic Domestic Violence by Prof Dr. Varsha .N. Deshmukh Women Activist, Motivational Speaker where she discussing the aspects. The main theme of the webinar was “Do we know our rights?
Prof Dr. Varsha .N. Deshmukh, enlightened the audience with regards to the maintain provisions, right of property to women, rights of the adopted child, her knowledge regarding custody of a child, and provisions given under DV act.
Prem Lata Patil, a counselor from Matru Seva Sangh shared her learning from real-time case stories and examples which she successfully resolved. She also briefed regarding how the counseling is done to resolve the matrimonial disputes by discussion for which the counselor needs to be active listeners. Adv Meera Khadakkar, retired principal judge of family court, interacted with the audience questions and explained laws and rights within Indian judiciary
The webinar was attended by 500 + various professionals from different areas which involved doctors, engineers, lawyers, students, principals, and staff from engineering colleges, medical colleges, and social welfare institutes from all over India.
