The civic administration of the city has formed a special team under the leadership of additional municipal commissioner Jalaj Sharma to implement the rules for private hospitals in view of COVID-19.As per information, the special team will do surprise checking of hospitals in city.
Due to the hike in COVID-19 positive cases in city, permission for testing and treatment in private hospitals has been granted. And for this purpose the administration has fixed charges for testing, checking, and treatment. According to the fee structure decided by the government, the 80 % beds in hospital should be reserved. The hospital can charge rates as per management for 20 % beds. All hospitals will have to follow these rules. The special team after checking hospitals will submit the report of action taken during the visit to the Commissioner. The newly formed team will take immediate cognizance of any complaint received. Action under Disaster Management Act, Communicable Diseases Act 1897 and other laws against concerned hospitals.
