After the huge electricity bills, the Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission to give some respite to the consumers. The energy department has sent various options to the Regulatory Commission. The options include waiving off bill up to 100 units, concession on total bills and others. As per information, the MSEDCL has made it very clear that the state government should take the burden of it as the financial condition of the MSEDCL is not good to give respite.
The ministers also demanding that electricity bill upto 100 units during lockdown period should be waived off. After the meeting between the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee and revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat and energy minister Dr Nitin Raut on Monday, it was decided that people should be given respite by waiving off electricity bill upto 100 units during lockdown period. The same will put forward in the Cabinet meeting.
