After Akola now Amravati district is inching closer to 3,000 COVID-19 patients mark as tally reached 2,949 with 76 new patients being detected on Saturday. The patients detected till date include 939 active cases. Meanwhile, total 21 patients have been discharged.
As per information provided by health department, out of the total 76 cases the district reported 26 positive reports from Sant Gadgebaba Amravati University Testing Lab while 48 through Rapid Antigen test and remaining 2 through truenat test.
Out of the 76 patients detected on Saturday in the district 13 are from rural parts including 4 patients from Achalpur tehsil, 3 from Daryapur tehsil, 2 from Morshitehsil and one each from Anjangaon Surji, Karanja Lad in Washim district, Bhatkuli andTeosatehsil. Total 63 patients have been detected from various parts of Amravati city.
Total of 21 patients have been discharged after recovered from the infection. Health Department has examined total of 37971 people so far and took samples of 27,023 people. Out of them 23,238 reports received negative and 2949 received positive. Out of the detected patients 87 deceased, 1,923 discharged and 939 are undergoing treatment.
