The Nagpur Vidarbha Chamber of Commerce (NVCC) a traders’ body representing nearly 13 lakh businessmen from across Vidarbha has urged all its members,shop keepers and denizens of Nagpur to get themselves to get tested for COVID-19.The appeal was made to people following sharp rise in the COVID-19 cases this month.
NVCC president Ashwin Mehadia said that Central and State government had announced lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus.After nearly three months,business activities started resuming gradually from June but since then a sharp increase in COVID-19 cases have been noticed.The NMC commissioner Tukkaram Mundhe stated that in view of this serious condition,traders their employees and families should get themselves tested to help the administration in breaking the chain.Hence NVCC has urged all its members,shop keepers,people to get themselves tested.Due to soaring cases, traders are not allowed to open shops on all seven days.Hence traders and people should follow  the social distancing norms and SOPs issued by the government.
