NMC has nominated 14 persons across ten zones for overseeing deployment of mobile immersion tanks.Citizens can call the persons in case they have any difficulty in immersions of idols at their homes. Respective Assistant Commissioners are have been made in-charge for their zones.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, from point of safety of citizens, civic body is limiting number of artificial tanks that used to be placed at various squares across city. Therefore, NMC has appealed citizens to go for low key celebrations at their respective homes and places and immerse idols at homes. But in case citizens do not have facility of immersion at home, for them, NMC has deployed mobile tanks that would be available on call. This year, immersion at all lakes and public water bodies too is banned.
