Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has now decided that if 22 passengers gather together for long distances, then a special bus will be run for that destination. It is worth mentioning that since the nationwide lockdown was imposed in an attempt to curb the spread of coronavirus, MSRTC buses on long distance routes are not running.
Under MSTRC norms, long distance means more than 250 kms.Meanwhile; 2 days ago MSRTC has commenced inter-district transport. Now with MSRTC buses running from almost all major cities of the state, passengers will also get connectivity. In addition to the group booking of 22 passengers for long distance travel in MSRTC buses, even if a small number of passengers are found, then special buses will be run. Long distance passengers will also be boarded for long routes even if 4-5 passengers are short. For this, other formalities including e-pass will no longer be needed.
