Nowadays the cases of honey trap is increasing in city and one case in which the gang recently looted many citizens is Rajat alias Chhotu Thakur and his girlfriend Priya.This has come to light during the investigation in the extortation case of a drug company officer who fell prey to the ‘honey trap ‘laid by the accused. As per information, the accused had kidnapped Sanjay, a drug company official on the afternoon of August 21.
The police have arrested the associates of Chhotu Thakur while solving this case. One of the accused, Sumit is an engineering student and other masterminds are Chhotu and Priya are absconding. As per the information, Priya comes in contact with people through some or the other excuse and then calls them over to her room. During this time Chhotu reaches there with his accomplices and starts assaulting the victim. The accused then extort money from the victims by threatening them of defamation. In this manner, Chhotu and Priya have trapped many people among which many are government officials or their relatives. The entire story can be revealed after Chhotu and Priya are nabbed.Meanwhile MIDC police have arrested their partners Sumit alias Daddu Parihar, Gunnu Mandal and Tushar alias Monu alias Totia Jagtap and taken them into custody till August 28.
