The Central Regional Centre, Nagpur of Anthropological Survey of India is coming up with a one day webinar on Molecular Anthropology of Covid: Impact, Issues and Innovation on 29th August, 2020 which is an important area of investigation in this pandemic situation. The Head of Officw Dr. Ratna Dhar will welcome the invitees and Director of the organization, Prof. Vinay Kumar Srivastava will grace the occasion as Keynote speaker.
The upcoming webinar will try to focus on the Impact and Issues of COVID in terms of Molecular Anthropology. The webinar will be ornamented with the presence of eminent scholars from Universities and Anthropological Survey of India. Prof. Arup Ratan Bandyopadhyay from Calcutta University and Dr. K.N Saraswathy from Delhi University will discuss on Host Risk factors, Vaccines and Phenotypes through Human and Viral DNA respectively. The scholars from AnSI, Dr. BN Sarkar (Retd), Dr.B.P. Urade, Dr. Abhishikta Ghosh Roy and Dr. Venugopal PN will highlight the molecular mechanism of COVID, epidemiological issues and future research arenas. The webinar is aimed to make an understanding of anthropological intervention of COVID, with special focus on Molecular aspects. It would surely seed many ideas of future research and would help a better understanding of Human-Viral Interaction.Â
