In view of the COVID-19 pandemic,Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court on Thursday has directed the Students Rights Association of India to approach Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal (MAT) for changing the examination centres of MPSC examination as per the convenience of the students. The division bench of Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Atul Chandurkar disposed of the petition.The High Court stated in the judgement that being a subject of government service, it is necessary to first ask for justice from MAT in the matter. If the MAT does not provide the relief, the petitioners can approach the High Court. The petitioners said that the pre-state civil service examination of MPSC is going to be held on September 20 at 9am.For this, examination centres have been made in 37 districts. As per information, earlier a candidate from Pune have been given permission to change the examination centre in view of COVID-19.Due to the pandemic situation candidates have returned to their respective homes. Public transport is closed. All the candidates of the state should be given the right to choose the examination centre as per their convenience.
