The Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court directed state government to file a response on encroachment on land of Dr.Panjabrao Deshmukh Agriculture University within three weeks. Total 26.69 hectare land of Agriculture University has been encroached.
The high court took serious cognizance of this encroachment and admitted a PIL in this regard. Out of total 422, 72 hectare land of Agriculture University, 152.02 hectare land is in Nagpur. Out of this land, 111.32 hectares is in Mauja Lendhra, 9.03 hectares is in Mauja Sitabuldi and 31.70 hectares is in Mauja Gagda.Out of this, 19.26 hectares has been encroached. Among this encroachment, there is alum on 2.43 hectares. The state government has to file reply in court and make its stand clear.
