In view of the increasing COVID-19 positive cases in city, the public representatives recently asked the civic administration to implement the Janata Curfew on Saturday and Sunday. And the message that Janata Curfew is also being imposed in city is going viral on social media. However, no decision has been taken by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) regarding ‘Janata Curfew’.
Mayor Sandeep Joshi appealed that as responsible citizens of the city, we should all voluntarily stay at home on Saturdays and Sundays.Earlier, the ICMR and other government agencies had warned in September that the threat of COVID-19 would increase. Test centres have also been set up by the civic body. And the civic administration has now started taking more strict action regarding compliance with government guidelines.
