Maharashtra Government has again reduced the price of the COVID-19 RTPCR test on Monday.
Dr Pradeep Vyas, Principal Secretary of Health Department in an order issued the reduced rates of the test.
Now the price of picking the sample from collection site, transport and reporting of sample (All necessary consumable like VTM, PPE etc. for collection will be borne by sample provider) has been reduced to Rs 1200 from Rs 1900.
Collection of samples from drive through sample collection kiosks, sample collection drives, Covid Care Collection Centres, Hospital Clinic, Quarantine Centres of Laboratories, etc. (All necessary consumable like VTM, PPE, RNA extraction kit, RT PCR Kit, etc. will be borne by laboratory) has been reduced to Rs 1600 from Rs 2200.
Collection of patient sample from residence, transport of sample, testing and reporting of sample, (All necessary consumable like VTM, PPE, RNA extraction kit, RT PCR kit, etc. will be borne by laboratory) has been reduced to Rs2000 from Rs 2500.
