The hold of coronavirus in the city is strengthening daily as the city is witnessing a constant surge in the number of positive cases and the rate of death also. Currently all the ten zones are badly affected by the virus and the cases are continuously rising daily.
In the beginning of lockdown Gandhibagh and Satranjipura zone of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) were the most affected areas from COVID-19 infection.
But since the Mission Begin Again Now all the 10 zones of the NMC are affected from COVID-19. The hike in the number of cases was started since August as people from all the parts of Nagpur are being infected by the deadly virus.
The infection is spreading fast in areas like Mhalgi Nagar, Hanuman Nagar, Dharampeth and Laxmi Nagar zones in last few days.
According to the statistics Hanuman Nagar has registered second highest number of cases in past one week. In this zone, 55 patients were found on August 31, 78 on September 2, 108 on September 3, 99 on September 5 and 94 on September 9.
Infected patients increase in Dharampeth and Laxmi Nagar zone too. Number of patients has increased in Mhalgi Nagar, Hanuman Nagar and Laxmi Nagar zones as compared to other zones due to good tracing of suspected patients coming in contact with positive patients or due to initiative taken by the patient himself for conducting test.
According to the list of September 9, 86 patients were found in Dharampeth zone and 87 in Laxmi nagar zone.
