The coronavirus infection is increasing in city and the civic authority is taking all the possible efforts to contain the virus. Recently the NMC Commissioner issued an order to increase the fine from Rs.200 to Rs.500 against the people not wearing mask. Despite the imposition of Rs.200 as fine for not wearing mask, there are still a large number of people who are not wearing mask. For this reason, it has decided to increase the fine.
As per the new order instructions have been given to Nuisance Detection Squad (NDS) recover fine of Rs.500 on those who do not wear masks from today. It is noteworthy that home minister Anil Deshmukh held a meeting on Sunday over the Covid issue. Instructions were given to hike the fine. On the basis of this, civic chief issued the order today. This rule will be applicable in government, semi-government, private educational istitutions, hospitals, residential and commercial area, markets, public places and religious places falling within NMC limit. The authority to execute the order has been given to the personnel of Nuisance Detection Squad (NDS), sanitation inspector, assistant commissioner of zone, sanitation officer and police inspector.
