Despite of the constant appeal from the Civic Authorities, Health Ministry and the continuous rise in cases and deaths in the city Citizens seems to ignore the fact that the deadly disease is still prevailing and taking lives.
The call given by Mayor and public representative for weekend Janta Curfew did not go well with the city thus on the first day of Janta Curfew did not received the expected response from the citizens.
Looking at the constant increase in the deaths due to coronavirus, public representative appealed for a voluntary weekend Janta Curfew in Nagpur city till September 30.
The voluntary measure was taken to spread awareness among people about the virus and to promote the use of mask and maintain social distancing. But the response the city gave was as usual to the other days, shops were open, people were seen moving around the city while some parts encouraged and participated in the Janta Curfew making it a successful some parts. Mayor Sandip Joshi along with Chandrashekhar Bawankule hit the city promoting the weekend Janta Curfew and use of masks and adapt to the new normal.
