In view of the increasing COVID-19 positive cases in Nagpur, the city Congress president and MLA Vikas Thakre has written to chief minister Uddhav Thackeray and has demanded that the Winter Session of State Legislature which was announced to commence in Nagpur from December 7.MLA Thakre in his letter stated that more than 75 crore are spent on winter session in Nagpur. This fund should be spent on boosting health services in Nagpur.
He said that the Covid Care Centres in MLA Hostel and Ravi Bhavan and residential arrangements of doctors and nurses are in danger. Not only this, people living in 160 Â tenements have also been asked to vacate. Now they are facing problem of where to go. The health services in Nagpur have collapsed. He added that the fund spent on winter session should be utilised on boosting health services.
