A move to create the Sitabuldi main road vehicle- free zone under ‘Street For People’project, on behalf of the Nagpur Smart and Sustainable City Development Corporation Limited, a survey is being conducted on the Sitabuldi main road. Chief Executive Officer of Smart City Mahesh Morne and traffic police inspector Parag Pote inspected the main road on Tuesday. Under this project, the main markets of the city will be surveyed in next seven days. As the survey has started the CEO took the opinion of the Sitabuldi traders.
They have been asked if the main road is made vehicle-free what will be the effect on their business. The hawkers will also be benefited when the road will be made vehicle free zone. Separate arrangements will be made for the parking of the two-wheeler and four –wheeler. During the survey people responded in a positive way and praised the move to make the main road a vehicle free zone. People said that it would benefit the customers. In order to make Nagpur pollution free, the initiative has been started to create a vehicle free zone. Survey will be done for seven days. After getting the feedback, suggestions, further planning will be worked out.
