With the number of efforts being taken by the civic body and hard work by front line health workers, the Corona virus pandemic continues to throw normal life out of gear. After giving some hope of improvement in recovery rate, Nagpur on Wednesday witnessed a drop in the recovery rate with 76.71 %.
On September 23 the city reported 1291 fresh cases of the virus borne disease. This has taken the cumulative number of cases to 67,671.
Meanwhile, the district continues to report more than 50 deaths daily despite drop in COVID cases. With 51 patients succumbing to the infection in a day, the toll has surged increased to 2205. From the total deaths 1639 deaths from the city and 361 from rural and rest 205 from out of Nagpur, an official release said.
After the fresh updates, the total active cases is now 1,370 including 3,223 from rural area.
On Wednesday, 1,357 persons became free of the virus borne disease taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 51912 (including 32,292 home isolation recoveries).
Today’s 1291 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
AIIMS (85), GMC (200), IGGMC (175), MAFSU (70), NEERI (74), Private Lab (366) and Antigen (321).
