Since March ending all the functional, social gathering, the ceremony was put on hold as the country was under complete lockdown. It has been six months since the lockdown and the country is opening up under ‘Mission Begin Again’ in a phased manner.
Although the government has given permission many activities still not permitted, gathering public function is prohibited due to which people who are associated with events are suffering as public gathering functions is still not allowed.
Today a silent protest was organised at RBI square on behalf of all the associations in Maharashtra.
Furious over the constant ignorance by the government Artists, labourers, and labourers are unemployed as government is still not given permission for full-fledged functioning. Now the time has come that the government should also think about their families as we do not come under any scheme or policy of the government nor do we come under any loan facility schemes, so how did we live without earning informed the members.
We request the government to kindly allow us to work with a minimum of 500 people in all ceremonies, events, marriages and shows in Maharashtra. Starting this will be helpful for the survival of our families.
We also assure that we will abide by all the norms and follow all the rules and regulations of COVID-19 which come under the guidelines of Maharashtra and Government of India.
A written application (request letter) was also submitted to Collector Nagpur and Commissioner NMC Nagpur.
