After a long wait, a the Maharashtra government has given permission to reopen restaurants, hotels, bars in the city from today. However, due to Covid fear it is expected that less people will visit the hotels and bars. As per information, there are about 2500 small and big hotels and restaurants in Nagpur city. And there is around 450 bars. Some hotels and restaurants started functioning with the starting of parcel facility but customers were not allowed to sit in the hotels. Now with the capacity of 50 %,it will become operational.
The owners will have to follow the rules strictly. There must be a distance of one meter between the two tables. It will be mandatory for employees to wear masks. There should be a system of screening and sanitisation of those coming to the gate itself. Hotels and restaurants will have to keep record of incoming customers. The table will have to be sanitised. There are also some confusion prevailing regarding this matter as there will be shortage of staff and how many people come it will be clear in 15 days. The point to be noted here is that the hospitality industry faced a heavy backlash after the outbreak of pandemic and subsequent lockdown.
