A drive to check traffic violations in the city, traffic police is going to commence special campaign against drivers using fancy number plates from today. As per information, a fine will also be recovered under this campaign. Similarly; action will be taken against those who make fancy number plates along with suspending the license of those who constantly break traffic rules.
The point to be noted here is that a large number of drivers use fancy number plates. As a rule, numbers are written in black colour on a white plate. Using words other than this is against the transport rules. Due to this, the police is unable to find the culprit in case of a road accident. Commissioner of Police Amitesh Kumar has said that following the traffic rules and its smooth operation is his priority.Unless the drivers change the number plate, action will continue against them. And action will be taken against those who make fancy number plates.
