Maharashtra Public Service Commission while presenting the view point before the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal’s Nagpur bench has stated that the examination centres of other district candidates for State Civil Service Pre examination cannot be changed like Pune .Joint secretary of the MPSC has filed an affidavit in this regard. The examination will be conducted on October 11.The affidavit states that there are various reputed competitive examination guidance centres in Pune. Therefore, students from many parts of the state stay in Pune and study for examinations.
Such students has selected the centre of Pune for the Pre-Civil Services Examination. And after the outbreak of pandemic and the subsequent lockdown the concerned candidates had returned to their homes. Therefore, those candidates were allowed to choose the examination centres of their choice. And the affidavit pointed out that the condition of the Mumbai, Nashik, Aurangabad, Amravati and Nagpur divisions is not the same. The candidates of these places have been given preferred centres in their districts. Now the public transport has started and candidates can reach the examination centres at a lower cost. There was no discrimination and they cannot be compared to Pune candidates.
