Nagpur district continues to report less fresh cases of COVID-19 as compared to recovered cases. Also the city continues to report a drop in the death count. On October 17, the city registered 540 new COVID cases while 790 patients became free of the virus. After today’s addition the cumulative number of cases is 90301. The recovery rate now stands at 89.30%.
With 13 people succumbing to the infection in the day the death toll has now reached 2925. From the total deaths 2056 are reported from the city and 519 from rural and rest 359 from out of Nagpur, an official release said.
The total number of recovered cases now stands at 80643 (including 43392 home isolation recoveries).
After the fresh updates, a total of 6733 patients are active in the city.
Today’s 540 positive cases were reported from various hospitals.
AIIMS (51), GMC (26), IGGMC (65), MAFSU (15), NEERI (53), Private Lab (104) and Antigen (226).
