Nagpur has been witnessing many developmental projects for the past two years which aims to make Nagpur a smart city. One among them is the cement road construction which is still going on. The on-going construction was stopped for few months when the lockdown was first announced in the country but now all the construction work, government contracts have been restarted after the relaxations given by the government and can complete the project before the deadline.
Many government-approved projects have also begun in city like cement roads, metro works, and many more. But it seems the completion of the projects is mere a distant dream as these projects are taking more than expected time. One example is the Narendra Nagar underbridge is still closed for the commuters as cement road construction work is underway and yet to be finished.
If one visits the area they can notice that one side of the bridge has been converted as one-way and everyday commuters have to be cautious while riding as traffic from both sides creates ruckus every day, and the completion of the road still remains a question. The dust and pollution created by hundreds of vehicles and construction site is also an add on to the problems faced by the people of that area.
