Rashtriya Nagpur Corporation Employees Association of NMC has warned of home quarantine strike if the demands of employees are not met. They alleged that the Seventh Pay Commission report has not yet been implemented due to the lackadaisical approach of the civic authority. Decision about other demands is also not taken. They stated that NMC employees will go on mass leave on same day on October 28 and will be under home quarantine to protest against this indifferent attitude. As per the decision of state government, the Seventh Pay panel report was implemented in municipal corporations in state last year.
The order mentioned that revised pay scale should be finalized and it was to be given September paid in October 2019.The administration fulfilled terms and conditions in GR and sent proposal for approval. But government kept it pending. The resolution was passed in NMC house and sent to government. But still no decision was taken. The 51 crore of GPF deducted from salaries of employees, teachers and workers, interest of 51 crore on it and 37 crore have not been deposited. And the relatives of 18 NMC employees who died while serving in pandemic period have not been given the compensation yet.
