The third phase of test of Covishield vaccine against coronavirus commenced on October 23 at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Nagpur. This vaccine was given to 50 volunteers selected for test.The human test completed one week on Friday. As per information, the health condition of the all the volunteers is good. There are 20 women and 30 men among volunteers.
The tests of Covishield vaccine are being held world over by Oxford University and AstraZeneca Company through Serum Institute of India from Pune.For the test over 200 people came forward. Healthy persons in the age group of 18 to 70 years among these people were selected. Their coronavirus and blood tests were conducted. Fifty persons whose report was normal and were given first dose. And chief investigator of Covishield vaccine test Dr.Sushant Meshram said that they are keeping watch on health of all volunteers who were given first dose. None is having problem. The second dose will be given after 28 days. The blood test will be conducted on 56th day. Inquiry of health of all will be made on telephone on 90th day and blood test of all will be conducted on 180th day in hospital.
