The Union Transport and MSME minister Nitin Gadkari stated that an initiative has been taken to develop a multi-modal hub in the centre of the city and for that the central jail and FCI godowns to be shifted at ring road. As per information, National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will take care of all the expenditure on this project. The minister said that all the transport facilities including railway, bus and metro would be under one umbrella in multi modal hub and Ajni railway station would also be connected with this project. The project would have a state-of-the-art market with offices.
NHAI which would develop the multi model hub will also build the new jail. He also pointed out aviation turban fuel out of bamboo oil can reduce the cost of flight operations to a large extent. And bamboo is available at Gadchiroli in abundance and there is a proposal to establish a bamboo-based oil refinery at Gadchiroli.
