Relaxing some restrictions on marriage processeions, religious events and various other functions, Nagpur District Collector, Ravindra Thakre has allowed the band troupe, horse, generator, buggy, lighting and other workers to resume thier services with some conditions like 20 people and following social distancing.
The decision came after City Secretary Ghanshyam Nikhade of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) discussed the matter with District Collector following which the Collector gave them permission.
The unions of these workers the MNS Nagpur city executive committee members and MNS President, Raj Thackeray to pursue their issue and help them to come out of the situation.
Wigh the begining of mission begin, the Maharashtra Government had unlocked all businesses and permission for marriages and other religious functions were allowed with the attendance off 100 persons.
However, service providers of band,
horse, buggy, lighting etc were not considered in the dicision and remain closed due to which workers involved in it were facing financial crisis during lockdown period and as they were not having work.
MNS workers brought to the notice of the Government that it had not considered these services.
MNS city President, on the direction of MNS President Raj Thackeray, submitted the memorandum of demands to Maharashtra Chief Minister, Home Minister, Nagpur District Guardian Minister and District Collector and appealed the
Government to solve the issue immediately.
The workers in band troupe, horse, generator, buggy, lighting, etc. and their associations thanked MNS for thier support.
