May be in the excitement of Diwali, citizens have completely forgotten the fact that the coronavirus is still there, people are still being infected and lives can still be lost due to this deadly disease.
With Diwali less than a week away, people are ready to risk their and their family’s health and are out in the streets shopping, exploring things, buying products. They are flooding the markets to make purchases throwing COVID-19 norms out of the window.
Even though the health authorities, the Government has made it very clear and appealed to the citizens not to take the disease lightly but it looks like the appeal of the higher authorities are falling on deaf ears.
If situation like this continues and the citizens keep on making mockery of the law and norms regarding COVID it may lead to a second wave of the pandemic in the city.
Government, Civic Authorities are trying hard to keep the virus at bay and have been appealing to citizens to follow the guidelines, COVID-19 protocols to avoid the second wave of the deadly virus, and to have a safe festive season.
