IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Summit 2020 Nagpur was held virtually during 6-8 November 2020 with the theme “Ignite, Inspire & Engageâ€. The event was hosted by IEEE Nagpur Subsection in association with IEEE India Council & was supported by IEEE Pune Section, IEEE Delhi Section & IEEE UP Section with Technical & workshop Partnership by IBM & Resource Partner IIIT, Nagpur.

The mission of IEEE WIE is to facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines globally. With this aim to foster the collaborations & networking every year IEEE WIE global approves 10 International leadership summits with the financial support. This year IEEE Nagpur Subsection India has been selected amongst TEN summits worldwide & was approved the financial Aid to conduct the same.
IEEE WIE ILS 2020 has provided regional opportunities to all participants which fostered networking, mentor-ship, and collaboration. The summit began with a pre-summit workshop on Blockchain by IBM, and  Keynotes on the theme of summit, track speeches on Innovation, Empowerment, Social Leadership & Engagement, panel discussions on WIE Leadership, work flexibility etc. on Day2 & Day 3 of the summit. The experts, entrepreneurs, mentors from the technology industry, academicians and IEEE who are themselves change makers of the society were called at the summit. We have selected a mix of locals, national and international speakers and journey through rural India to the frugal innovations. In the summit we witnessed 65 speakers from 15 plus countries, 200 plus organisation volunteers and 700+ registrations.
The summit was inaugurated at the hands of Akinori Nishihara, Director Region 10 (Asia Pacific), Japan & Deepak Mathur, Director-Elect Region 10. Whereas Dr. Suresh Nair, IEEE India Council Chair Elect & Dr. Lance Fung, Director Elect R10 2021-22 graced the valedictory function. Dr. Preeti Bajaj was organizing chair & Honorary chair for the summit was Dr. S. N. Singh, Chair India Council. Dr. Amoli Belsare, Dr. Prachi Palsodkar, Pooja Jain , Ravikumar Tiwari ,Vamsi Jadala, , & Dr. Manoj Shanti were the co-chairs for the summit who executed the online program.
