Recently the service of Aapli Bus has started in city after lockdown and it did not got much expected response from the passengers but in the last two weeks, number of passengers are has increased by 38 percent. And it is expected that in the next few days, number of passengers will increase further.
Now it is being demanded to raise the number of Aapli buses in view of the opening of schools and colleges. At present NMC is operating 106 buses in 31 routes. The transport department said that 17000 passengers were travelling daily. Before the outbreak of pandemic, about 1.5 lakh passengers used to travel in the 350 Aapli buses.Now,44000 passengers are travelling in 106 Aapli buses.
