The Election Commission of India has declared a special programme for revision of voters’ lists of all Assembly seats from November 17, 2020.
People can now apply for registration of names as voters in the voters’ list. Voters can also apply for corrections in names and addresses in the voters’ list.
Also eligible voters’ whose names have not been incorporated in the voters’ list can now apply for inclusion of their names in the voters’ lists in the prescribed forms. names of the deceased voters or those voters who have migrated else where can be deleted from the voters’ list. December 15, 2020. The last date for disposing of the objections is January 5, 2021.
The revision of voters’ list as per data will be released on January 14 and final voters’ list will be published on January 15, 2021.
During the period, special programme of the revision of voters’ lists will be held on two Saturdays and two Sundays.
The Block-level officers (BLOs) will remain present a teach Assembly segment to receive applications.
Online facility is also made available for registration of names in the voters’ list. All political parties have been advised to depute their representatives as Block-level Agents (BLA) and cooperate with the Election machinery, it was informed by
