The coronavirus pandemic continues to tighten its grip over Vidarbha region. The daily count of the infected, deaths and recoveries are unpredictable. Someday the district witness decline in cases while the other day it gets double. With current data it seems like Vidarbha is witnessing second wave of coronavirus as districts like Chandrapur, Bhandara, Nagpur are reporting spike in COVID-19 daily cases.
Where Nagpur was reporting single digit death case from the last 2 week, suddenly the count doubled on Thursday. The second capital of the state detected 114 new cases on November 16, 263 on November 17, 389 on November 18 and 443 on November 19. This clearly indicates that there is increase in the cases with big margin.
On Thursday, Amravati registered 53 new cases with 0 deaths and 224 recoveries. Chandrapur reported 222 fresh cases with 0 deaths and 253 recoveries.
The active cases in Akola district is 404 , Washim 159, Yavatmal 268, Gadchiroli 491, Gondia 826, Buldhana 425, Bhandara 763and Wardha 614 cases.
Though there is no strict lockdown in the region but still the virus exists between us. Citizens can still control the spread of the infection by following the basic COVID-19 guidelines issued by the government. Avoid social gatherings and maintain social distance, wear mask, wash hands and use sanitizer to beat the virus.
