With the construction of the Metro line in Futala underway commuters passing by are facing a tough time. With the road being narrowed due to construction of the Metro Line and also roads being cemented people passing by the road are facing a very tough time.
On top of that with the present condition, it is very dangerous for the commuters to drive on that road as with the leftover road still to be constructed and the road being uneven at places it can be prone to huge mishaps and accidents.
While speaking to a few commuters they said, “We use to love visiting the lake. This was our favourite hang-out spot, but now we don’t know when would be able to do that again plus with this construction we feel awful while travelling on this road.â€
With the construction of the Metro just being in the initial stages it’s going to take a long time for things to get back to normal in that area. This has had a very adverse impact on the people whose livelihood depends on the visitors visiting Futala Lake. Since the lake has been closed for almost two months these people have been at the receiving end of a lot of suffering and financial instability.
