Football legend Diego Maradona dies at the age of 60, after suffering a cardiac arrest on Wednesday. The news has been confirmed by ESPN Argentina and TyC Sports.
Maradona was the winning captain of Argentina in 1986 who won World Cup.
The legend footballer was hospitalised earlier this month after reports of blood clot inside his brain and underwent a surgery.
The surgery was successful but, unfortunately he suffered heart attack just two weeks after being discharged from the hospital.
The news is a big shock for football lovers as the legend said a final goodbye to his fans across the globe.
Maradona, who won the World Cup with Argentina in 1986 and is widely considered to be one of the greatest players of all time, coaches local club Gimnasia y Esgrima. He last appeared in public on his 60th birthday last Friday before his side’s league match against Patronato.
