A fraud, who trapped people under the disguise of a police officer, finally came into the grip of the police due to the alertness of a garment merchant. As per information, Sitabuldi police arrested the accused and started investigation. The accused has been identified as Ajay Shivdas Jadhav, a resident of Badnapur, Jalna.The owner of the garment store in Sitabuldi named ‘Friends’Guddu Agrawal is also an authorized seller of uniforms and other items of the police officers and personnel.
The accused came to the shop and asked the employee of the shop to give police inspector’s badge. At the store, before selling the uniform or any other item, the information of the person concerned including Xerox, mobile number etc. of I card is obtained. The shop’s employee directed him to the manager Ramachandra Dongre stating that the sale of the badge was done only after the process was completed.Dongre and Guddu Agrawal got suspicious after hearing Jadhav’s words. They stopped him in the shop and informed the sitabuldi police. The sitabuldi police took Jadhav to the police station. During interrogation, he found to be a fake cop.It is also came to be fore that he has cheated several people by pretending to be a police officer.
