The first dose of Covishield vaccine to restrict Covid-19 was given on October 23.And the second dose in last two days. Doctors have confirmed that the health of the 50 volunteers, who have taken the dose, has been promising. Now on the 56th and 180th day, the blood will be tested. The Covishield vaccine is being tested worldwide by the Oxford University and AstraZeneca Company and in India it is being tested through Serum Institute of India.
Earlier, Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Nagpur got permission for this test. As per information; the vaccinated volunteers are in the age group of 18 to 70 years. This includes 20 women, five senior citizens over 60 years and 25 men between the ages of 18 and 55.Dr.Sushant Meshram said that they are monitoring the health of the volunteers who have been given the dose of Covishield. Second dose was given to them after 28 days. Now blood test will be done on the 56th day. Condition of their health will be inquired on phone on the 90th day.
