Varsha Gaikwad,State School Education Minister on Sunday said that the board examinations of STD X,STD XII which is used to held in February and March every year will now be conducted in April and May by reducing about 25% of curriculum. As we know the pandemic has created countless problems for everyone and teachers have been engaged in online education.
Gaikwad was in city for campaigning in favour of Prof Shrikant Deshpande, Mahavikas Aghadi candidate for Amravati Division Teachers’ Constituency election scheduled on December1. Sulabha Khodke, MLA, Sanjay Khodke of NCP and many others were prominently present on the occasion. Varsha Gaikwad further said that it is responsibility of Government to give priority to the health of students. By taking all the precautionary measures and all the standard operating procedures recommended by the government, schools from Standard IX to XII have been started in the State.
About 3 lakh students are attending the schools in the State. The decision to open schools has been taken considering the different geographical conditions in the State. In many districts in the State, schools are opened in urban areas and are closed in rural area, said Gaikwad. “English, Mathematics and Science are the 3 important subjects. and hence focus is given on these subjects in the interest of students,†informed Gaikwad and added that said that online education for other standards are going on and decision about these schools will be taken as per situation.
