The compulsion by the railway administration to fill in the details of the destination in the reservation form has caused a lot of trouble for the passengers. As per information, passengers have to fill in the various details for reserving a ticket. After filling the place of destination, train number, gender, age and address the booking clerk used to issue the ticket. However, now the railways have directed the passengers and clerks to enter the destination address as well.
This has also increased the headache of the clerk giving reservation tickets including passengers. Railway administration also mandated the local address and destination address, district, state and PIN code for the passengers during this pandemic time. The point to be noted here is that many times, the passengers do not know the address and PIN code of the destination. In this situation, even after standing for long in the queue, they have to go out and get the address and pin code information from the mobile phone. In this regard, public relations officer, Central Railways, S.G.Rao said that in view of Covid pandemic and the guidelines lay out by the government and health agencies, passengers are made to register the address of both the places for the contact of the passengers. This rule is good for finding the passengers. Therefore; passengers also need to cooperate with the railway authorities.
