Again the increase in the prices of crude oil at international scenario tempted the oil marketing companies to hike the prices of petrol and diesel in India. The point to be noted here is that prices of petrol and diesel have been rising continuously since November 20.As per information on Sunday; petrol was available for Rs.90.51 per litre in the city. According to the sources, the prices of petrol and diesel in the city are three times the prices in metros because of innumerable levies imposed by the Central and State government.
On November 29, petrol ruled at Rs.89.47 per litre in the city which remained unchanged on November 30 and December 1.However, on December 2, there was 15 paise rise in three prices of petrol, followed by 16 paise rise on December 3, 20 paise rise on December 4, 26 paise rise on December 5 and 27 paise rise on December 6.
