Thalassemia and Sickle Cell disease Online Education Program for patients and their parents suffering from this disease is being organized by Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Center, Nagpur run by Thalassemia Society of Central India on Friday, December 11 at 11:30 am.
The program will be inaugurated by Cabinet Minister Nitin Ji Gadkari. This venture is being taken under Sickle Cell Janjagruti Week from December 11 to December 18. Through this program, patients suffering from these diseases will be given information related to the disease on various topics.
The topic of this time will be to give information about the blood transfusion to the patients of Thalassemia and Sickle Cell disease. The inauguration ceremony will be attended by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s Blood Cell National Coordinator Mrs. Vinita Srivastava. She will give information about the projects taken by the government for Thalassemia and Sickle Cell disease. Also, Dr. J. S. Arora, General Secretary of National Thalassemia Welfare Society will be present at the opening ceremony.
After the inauguration, the session will be started in which Dr. Ravi Dara will be a Transfusion Medicine Specialist and Dr. Vinky Rughwani Panelist about Blood Transfusion in Thalassemia and for Sickle Cell Dr. Dipti Jain will be present with Dr. Vinky Rughwani to discuss this topic. Sangeeta Wadhwa will be the moderator.
